Julie Knopp (she/her) provides nutrition counseling services for a variety of needs. As a Registered Dietitian (RD) she is passionate about promoting balance, flexibility and moderation with all foods.
Julie received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Radford University and completed her Dietetic Internship at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics Education from Radford University.
Julie has worked with clients at the Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient levels of care for treating eating disorders. She also has experience working at a University Student Health Center, providing nutrition counseling services in the areas of eating disorders, non-diet weight management, intuitive eating, meal planning, and medical nutrition therapy.
Julie is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS), which is a credential awarded through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP). In addition, Julie is a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor through the original Intuitive Eating Pros Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch.
Julie is also passionate about Sports Nutrition and is a Certified Sports Nutritionist (CISSN), which is a credential awarded by the International Society of Sports Nutrition. She enjoys counseling clients on sport specific macronutrient needs, personal goals, and common nutrition misconceptions. Julie is also a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).

Julie welcomes clients of all gender identities, sexual orientations, races and religions.
